Mesmerized!

Watching the digger
Doing his own "work"

Construction has started on the lot behind ours and Chase is just obsessed with it! Everyday he has to go and watch the "guys doing their work". We've had a crane, lots of cement and dump trucks, and of course a lot of wood and hammering. He just loves to see the progress on the house. He has been spending many of these chilly fall mornings just standing outside and watching the work. It is just too cute :)

Play Date

Chase & Tricia building together
Luke watching all of the "big brothers and sisters"
Here are a few pictures from our last play date with our Cradle Talk friends. It was so much fun to watch all of the kids actually interacting with each other and "playing". It was almost like old times, the moms sad around, talked, and ate and we didn't need to worry too much about the kids. All of the "2nd generation kids" are all growing so fast, it is so nice to have a group of girls that I can turn to with questions. I can't wait for our Halloween party, it should be craziness!

Luke's 6 month Check Up

Can you tell school is in full swing? I can't update the blog as much as I'd like but I will try to be better.

We took Luke in for his 6 month check up. He is continuing to be up and down with taking the bottle at the sitter. His weight was only 15 lbs. 11 oz., the 14 %-tile, down quite a bit from his last check up. The doctor says that we need to keep an eye on this and really encourage him to eat solids, which he doesn't understand how to eat at all! He also had a little infection on his face, pretty much pimples that keep coming back in the exact same place. The doctor said that they will scar so she gave us some cream to help clear everything up. Hopefully it will work.

I'll try to post some new pictures soon!

Bear Down!

We broke out all of our Bears gear today in order to prepare for the big game. Unfortunately they didn't win but we had a good visit with Blake's family. I wanted to post this picture of the boys. Maybe if we change up our outfits for next week, we'll get a win!

Playing with Paige

Being silly with Paige
Riding on horsey Keith
Chase's first trip to 2nd base?!?

Our friends Sara and Keith came over this Friday so that Chase and Paige could play together. We always have such a great time with them and the kids get along together so well. As you can see, we had a big game of ride around on Keith's back this particular evening.

Work or Play?

Mowing with Daddy
Filling his mower up with gasSweet Luke

Although mowing the lawn is obviously not the most fun chore, Chase has really made it fun. He gets out his mower and follows Blake up and down the grass, helping him mow. It is so cute. Luke and I were hanging out inside and I couldn't resist posting this smiling baby!

Brookfield Zoo

Posing with Mommy on the frog
Getting ready to go see the stingrays
Admiring the roosters

We decided to head to the zoo a few Saturday mornings ago so that we didn't go stir crazy at the house. We had a good visit and left before it got too hot. Luke was great, he slept almost the whole time so we had an opportunity to really enjoy Chase together. Doesn't he look adorable in his fisherman hat??
