Random pictures

This was taken after the Cubs swept the Sox a few weekends ago. We were all decked out in our Cubs gear.
Chase dressed up in Daddy's socks and shoes. He is saying "cheese", oh boy, he has no idea how to smile for a camera!

Luke doing his tummy time. He really doesn't mind it as long as there is something to keep him entertained.

It's been awhile since I've posted pictures, things have been hectic lately. I'm hoping that the summer really starts to get more enjoyable, it has been okay but I'm feeling like we really haven't started enjoying the summer that much yet.

New Look

What a smile!!

So I was tired of the dark background on the blog so I decided to change it...I like the white background with the orange, any way to support the Bears right?!?

I took Luke to the doctor today for his cold/cough. They said that he looks great and there is nothing to worry about. It makes me feel better but when he is up in the middle of the night with that cough that seems never ending, the "nothing wrong" comment doesn't do too much for me. I'm hoping he can get over this soon so that we can start trying to get him to sleep longer at night. I'm exhausted which is nothing new but at this point I was hoping for a little more routine with the night than we've been getting.

We're going to attempt to go to Blake's game tonight. It is right at Luke's bedtime so we'll see how that turns out. I know that Chase loves going so I really want to make the effort despite my stress and anxiety about bedtime when we get home!

I had an end of the year party for school and Chase helped me decorate the cupcakes. He absolutely loved eating them, so fun!

Good Day

This morning when I woke up I was somewhat dreading the day home with the boys...showers and thunderstorms were the forecast which meant no outside time. We made it out of the house early on a walk to go see the water fountains (in the subdivision next door) and had a blast. Chase and I talked about the ducks, trucks, bugs, and even had our first running race. When we got home we had just enough time to swing for awhile before the storms started.

The rest of the day went smoothly and I was so impressed at how well Chase plays by himself. He had gotten out his Legos with the train set and proceeded to "choo-choo" to himself for about 45 minutes, it was great! We even read a potty story and talked about how big boys go on the potty. When I asked him if he wanted to try, he said, "No, I'm a baby." Oh well, at least the discussion has started.

Being a stay-at-home mom is a lot more rewarding than I ever imagined!
