Bye-Bye Ugly Tree

Already in the process of being cut down ( I was a little late on the idea of a before and after shot!)
It's gone!
So we've had this tree outside of our house since we've moved in that we really didn't like.  Blake would always say, "I'm going to cut that tree down one day."  Well, after many nights of Luke being scared because the tree would scratch up against his bedroom window, the child has reason to sleep through the night again!  The actual cutting down of the tree was a lot easier than I anticipated and with the help of our friendly neighbors, it was done pretty quickly.  Now we're just waiting for spring brush pick up so we don't have have to pay a ton of money to get all of the branches hauled away!

Indoor Winter Soccer Season

 Playing goalie
 Pick me, pick me!
Don't mess with this team, they are tough!
Looking like  sweet group of kindergartners
And here is what they're really like!

This winter soccer season was a HUGE difference from our no win season last year.  One year and a few additions to the team made this such a fun season to watch, although we did have a lot more blood shed this year!  Chase has become a lot more aggressive and even scored several goals which was quite exciting.  He does seem to care a little more this year if they win the game but, I love that it is still all about being with his buddies and having fun.  Our spring soccer season should be a blast!

Wolves Game

 The big 6 year old!
Blake & Luke have the same Blackhawks jersey
 My sweet boys
We actually spent the night of Chase's birthday at the Wolves game,
they put his name up on the Jumbo-Tron, so exciting!
That evening was also an Indian Guides event, the Jumbo-Tron also
welcomed Chase's tribe!

The night of Chase's birthday we had tickets to the Wolves Game because it was a night to welcome Indian Guides and their families.  We had a great time and the team got a win and a player also got  a hat-trick so that was super exciting!  It was a fun evening for a brand new 6 year old!

Chase & Luke's Bowling Birthday Fun!

The birthday boy and his cheesy cousin!

The other "cheeser" in the family

 All of the party animals

This year for the boys' party we decided to head out to the bowling alley, lots of fun and no clean up for us!  Each boy got to invite a handful of friends and the party was very easy, and a good time was had by all.  My only regret, not getting a "whole party" picture.

Colorado 2012

Our view from the condo

In February we went with the Browns & Geers for a mini get-a-way President's weekend in Denver. Kevin's parents own a condo in a great area close to many ski resorts.  We arrived late on Friday night and spent all day Saturday & part of Sunday skiing.  We ventured to both Keystone & Copper Mountain.  Kristy & I stuck together because we were the most "unexperienced" of the 6 of us.  At times it was very fun, other times were just scary.  Blake had a fun tumble down a Double Black Diamond run, Allison got it on video, check out the Youtube link if you're interested.  We had 2 great dinners out and time with just the adults was great.  On Monday we spent the day cleaning up the condo and then walking around some cute streets in Denver.  We're so grateful to have such good friends to spend time with on such a fun trip!
