Family Hayride

Looking for the perfect roasting stick, it was hard to get the concept!

On the hayride for the 2nd time

Last night we went on a hayride & hot dog roast at Knock Knolls park. We started off on the hayride and were surprised at how many deer we were able to see. We even saw a buck with huge antlers and some deer drinking from a creek, it was pretty neat to be so close them. After the ride, we cooked our hot dogs over the fire and only lost few of them in the flames. We had s'mores with hot apple cider and even some hot chocolate. We went on a second hayride and the "Cat in the Hat" driver took us into the river, it was a lot of fun. The boys couldn't believe the tractor was in the river! I think we'll try this again next year!

Chase's class
Last Monday Chase had his first field trip of the year to Knock Knolls park. It was called their Fall Festival. Blake was one of the chaperones and he had a great time seeing the dynamic of a group of 4 year olds. Chase had a great time!

I couldn't believe how tall they were when they stood next to these pumpkins,
Chase about 3 ft. 7 and Luke was right about 2 ft. 9

A Luke laugh
On Saturday we went with my parents to a pumpkin patch way out in Maple Park. My friend Andria had gone and it looked good so we headed out. There was so much for the kids to do and play on. It was a little chilly and windy but it truly was a great fall day. They loved climbing the tire mountain, riding the horses, and finding the perfect pumpkin. At the end of the day, Luke had had enough so we left before we got to taste one of those apple doughnuts. I'm sure we'll try again next year!

Marching Band

We had our friends Sara & Keith over along with my sister-in-law, Dana and my niece and nephew a few Friday nights ago. The kids had a great time together and end up creating their own band, what fun!

Movie in the Park

Everyone hanging out before the movie began

The boys

A few weeks ago our neighbors invited us downtown Naperville for a movie in the park. We got pizzas, blankets, and treats and headed out. The evening ended up being a beautiful night weather wise. There were very few people there which surprised us. We got there, ate pizza and then headed to the nearby park until it was dusk. We enjoyed the movie The Incredibles under the stars. All of the kids loved it and almost everyone stayed awake for the entire movie. What a great memory!

Trip to the Museum?

So one afternoon the boys were playing upstairs and it seemed unusally quiet so I went up to check on them...this is what I found, too cute!
